G'day, just a quick question for the 1600 gurus. I've played with 1600s in the past but never converted an auto to manual. My current car was auto but gave that the flick quick smart and now have a Stanza 5 speed bolted up. Is the auto gearbox crossmember the same as manual? It seems to fit ok when spun around??? I haven't got a gearbox mount yet, just wondering if I need a manual gearbox crossmember as well. Thanks

Hi Marty From memory it may depend on what year 1600 you have. Ready over the years various forums , i think some of the early 1600auto's had slightly different mounts. This may have been in the States but not sure. I've just done a conversion on my 1600 (12months ago)(late 71 model) and i'm sure the gear box mount was exactly the same. I do not remeber it being noticably any different. So i reckon they should be interchangable.Good Luck
