They have that as well as a complete dizzy. Why all the hate for the conversion modules. If what I read is true then an original Bluebird Dizzy is a Reluctor type. These conversions are a Hall Effect Sensor type which if made properly they should be as good or better then the original.

Hall Effect is very versatile.
All aftermarket ECUs can handle the nice clean square wave from a Hall Effect sensor.
The reluctor output almost always requires an adaptor to convert the signal to a recognised format.

What I've been told is from a particular variant of the 200B. It has Bosch logos and part numbers all over it and if you can see in the photo it is of the hall effect type. Can anyone tell me for definate what its from and opinions/facts on performance/reliability.

Got the 2 for $100 :D

The Bosch unit would probably be a conversion kit jobby.
Most other Nissans of that era were fitted with Lucas parts to satisfy "Local Content" rules.
Early cars came with Hitachi electrics.

That Hall Effect conversion is exactly what moi does to points distributors.
[Instead of the Bosch box I built the Jaycar Hi Energy Ignition kit to do the switching.]
I would expect that to work wonderfully well and be very reliable :)

pretty cool find. if you have any issues with the reluctor coil type dizzy, the s2 bluey ones. i can rebuild them and rewind the coils.

the hall affect one you have in the second pic is a pretty decent find. havent seen many of these in circulation.

I use the Pertronix conversion with is the module that converts to points using the stock Ballast resistor and stock coil.
Never had a proplem with them. But eventuall the magnet ring wore out. Had to get a new one.

I seen the Hotspark before but they never wrote back as it looks like a Pertronix clone. I wonder where its made at as the Pertronis is a USA made item.

Now I see from you guys down under that its sold in the USA. Cant believe I missed this one. Has to be china.Lucky if Brazil or Mexico

One thing is the old Hondas used to use a single point hitachi dizzy also which I bet this fits. However one has to be shure the timming plate mtches the timming pedastal as the Later L series has soem offset ones for the L20s and the L16 were just for the L16 dizzys. The L20 hole would not line up as the tang was closer in I believe.

GGzilla on Ratsun says its Made In China

key on this is the timming plate matches up on your set up or find a timming plate and pedastal that matches to the bottom of this dizzy.

this is cool that somebody is making new dizzys. Shows that there is a demand for them
