Seen this thread: http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/v ... 2a7a86a189

The DR30 mirrors are perfect, they are sprung base and electrically controlled, therefore legal in the great state of victoria. Where can I get some? Been trolling everywhere for a few days with zero hits.

Anyone got a nissan part number or anything for them? Are they still available NOS?

Alternatively, any links to aftermarket ones which have the same characteristics would be awesome.

Need them for my 260C :cheers

Doesnt the thread tell you everything you need to know?
He found them on Yahoo auction site. Might be a good place to look.
They are jdm only so japan is the best place to search.
They come out factory on 910 Bluebirds over there. My mates imported 910 has them also.
Personally i think motorised ones are a waste of time. How often do you need to adjust them once theyre set?

Not a waste of time if you want to stay legal.

Manual fender mirrors are illegal. Reason is you can't adjust them from inside the car. Thats why electric ones are the go if they can be found.

When did the become illegal and what year is your 260C?
People forget that not only Japanese cars had wing mirrors, some of my dad's 60s fords have them stock as well as do plenty of other cars.
They would have been legal at some point without sprung bases and power motors.

I beleive Vicroads says they need to be sprung base but not necessarily electric. Having said that a mate passed an old crown with them on solidly mounted and had no issues. Probably a bit of a grey area and if you get a normal roadworthy guy you'll be fine.

I think I found a way to make my current solid ones spring mounted so I'll investigate that first - not just for legality but i would prefer if some spastic didn't bang into them and tear up my guards!

I have a pair I'm going to sell.
Was using them on my 610.

DR30 electric mirrors with spring base.

haven't tested the motors - was going to hook them up but never got around to it. It's got the plugs and everything hanging out the bottom, common datsun/nissan plug so will be easy to find something matching to wire up. I've even got a jdm n12 exa electric mirror switch i can give which should make wiring up a tad easier.
I haven't tried wiring it myself though.

cost me about 250 landed from japan, throw me an offer :)
