1. Don't panic
2. Strip all the paint off the area[s] of concern.
3. Cut out all the rusted sections.
4. Shape patches for the holes.
5. Weld the patches.
6. Treat and paint the patches.
7. Job done

BOTTOM LINE
It is only metal and metal can be repaired :cheers

Oh Mate, I'd love to help you tackle that if you were in NSW!

Its just time consuming, but i've seen a lot of really really bad rust replaced. Sometimes you have to spend the time to un-pick some of the sections that cover area's of concern. The firewall part you will be able to get to also through the inside of the car, even if you need to cut some of the inside firewall apart to get to it.

The chassis rail looks a little problematic, but if you are careful, and can cut away some of the pillar to get to the end and brace the rail appropriately about half way along the top rail and down to the lower A pillar, you should be able to cut away where the big area is and re-shape that, then weld in and grind off the Pillar bits you need to cut.

Does look like a lot of work, but if you're confident in your welding skills, then it should be a lot of fun. Or headaches.

The key to it all is to take note how the layers of metal are arranged so you can remove the rotten stuff and rebuild the shell from the inside out.
This is desirable for appearance and ESSENTIAL for retaining body strength :)

This kinda job needs a panelbeater to fix it structural and the welds need to be great adn plates done right.
brace the body or the front will go out of square under load most likely
i seen upper skirts go this way , i also back all of what nissan man has to say.

From what i can see peel your floor carpet back get a bucket of water incase of sparks do it exactly the same make the pieces before you cut anything and use air to cool less distortion.
