G'day,
I got my SR 1600 over the pits successfully second time around.
overall my car is very neat and has big brakes on the front and 17's.

the first time i just rocked up after i got a sticker and they said no way!
had shitty borrowed tyres on the back and bagged up second when coming on boost.
the dude said it was dangerous and should be off the road.

so the next time around i applied for permits using the forms off the dpi website.
once i got them back they said i had to get it engineers approved.
Dan Pitic in Hillarys did it and was pretty cheap.

'car lovers'd' all the oil leeks off on the way there too.
and before i took it over i disconected the wastegate actuator rod so it made no boost - just a precaution cos the flutter was kinda loud and i though if its a slug that would prolly help.
I also used one of those 'slip in' silencers into the exhuast tip.
and it passed.
