Pfffft, what a joke it was
I've C&P what a wrote on the 1200.com forum:

What a disgusting display from the WA members of this site!!!
Not only did 1/2 of the people at the start fail to get underway, but some also got pulled over buy the cops!
Then some of the remaining people just turned off & we're never seen from again!

At the Ravenswood Pub we only had Rubin & partner, Mal & partner (sorry girls I'm terrible with names) & me!!!
Rubin had ordered these fantastic platters for everyone but with only 5 people to eat it all, most of it went to waste...

In all my years in the Datsun community being involved & running cruises, I have NEVER seen such a rude, ungrateful, uncourteous & unprofessional display from the members from this site.
Sure some of the members couldn't attend due to other commitments & that’s fine, but for the rest of you, you should all be shot YOU PACK OF DOGS!!!!!!!!

Everyone complains about not enough events happening, yet acts like this happen...
Why should anyone bother to organize one again?

In saying this, thanks HEAPS to Rubin for organizing an enjoyable day.
Pity it wasn't shared by everyone else...

I have only ever been on 2 Datsun cruises and from a long time ago but they defiantly seem to be going down hill. but even from the first cruise i attended there was complaints afterwards about the attendants.

sorry Lurch but such a harsh reaction (however you feel) isn't going to encourage people to attend. if anything drive more people away,
maybe don't take it so personally

(granted i don't know the whole story about food etc as i don't browse 1200.com)
I'm just saying such harsh reactions defiantly don't make me want to attend a cruise anytime soon.

please don't take this the wrong way and feel free to pm me with any problems with my post.

cheers

Burnt, I understand what you’re saying & your point is taken, BUT the thread on 1200.com is 4 pages long
with people saying they are interested in coming along to the cruise.
Now when the people did turn up at the start, they were saying what a great day is was for a cruise, looking forward to the food & beer at the Ravenswood pub etc.
Now when only 5 people finished at the pub out of around 20 to start off with this is just not on.
Not one person called Rubin on his Mobile which was printed on the touring notes sheet, to inform him that they weren’t coming. Especially when food had been pre booked...
People just disappearing halfway through the cruise is damn rude as well...

Believe me, my reaction is justified! I have NEVER seen such a poor display from Datsun people ever!
If people come to a cruise in the future I will be more than personable, but there is no reason to do what those people did on that cruise - how hard is it to make a phone call?

Lurch fair enough
nothing personal
and I agree I don't know the full story.
I can understand the frustrations involved in organizing and planning a cruise with little to no attendance.

best of luck with the next cruise.

cheers

Shame about the food, People should have stuck with it if they said they were going to be there at the end for the food.
