Good stuff Stu vic championships sound serious to me.
If your interested in NA power my 120y might be for sale next year as i have another project in waiting.
The idea was to develop the Y then move to something more tuneable in the way of suspension.
Im never going to get back what I've put in to the car but thats how it goes. Im sure i could have built a sylvia for a 1/4 of the price but
Ive always wanted a Y and when this one came up i couldn't resist. I may take it to the next level and keep both not sure yet.$$$$$$
Cheers,

Danny

I have an opportunity to buy a mates sr20de powered sunny track car at the moment which he wants stuff all for. If all the stars align up will probably go that way as its a proven thing and is a lot easier to set up suspension wise than a y.

Sunny coil rear end with H190 is an easier option for sure but still no IRS.
The sunny is about the weight of a Y so yes i agree its a better option.
Is your mates a coupe because they look cool ?

It does get a bit of smoke on overrun but doesn't use any oil?
I'm not sure how many km's that engine has done as i purchased it from grand auto without details.

How long before we see the 1600 on the track?

Im moving forward with some weight reduction next year so i thought i would weigh some parts today.
Im trying to work out the best bang for buck and it looks like the bonnet is worth doing and I might remove the bumpers all together.
I haven't done the glass with lexan yet but as it stands these mods should get the car to 896kg with 1/4 tank of fuel.
Ive priced making a mould for the front guards and its going to be around 1,500.00 to do my flared guards in glass. Not sure if its worth it as they're not that heavy.
I will weigh some more parts and add them to the list later.

Bonnet 13KG V fibreglass 6kg
Front bumper bracket .5 kg each
Rear bumper 3.0kg
Front Bumper 2.9 kg
Rear window with bailey channel 3.5 kg

What about front to rear weight ratio?

If you are still running leaf springs, I have seen that there is a company that makes fibreglass replacements in a single leaf that are much lighter, and made to your specs of ride height and spring rate
