Tell me about it a couple of the studs were a real pain to get out nothing a little bit of heat didn't fix but . My diff is out of a VR commo wagon and yes the brackets bolt on to the diff housing so cant see why they wouldn't on a r31 housing? Im not 100 percent sure on revs as my tacho is still not working after the E85 conversion but I would think im pulling around 5-5.500 around those corners. Will have to do some data logging on the ecu and find out :D

Hi Danny,

can you confirm for me, s15 + 6 speed?

do you know the diff ratio you are running?

with a s14, 5 speed and 4.6 i have managed to run a 1:47 in the stanza, we think it's possible to crack 1:44 with the 6 speed in it.

Hi, it's a s15 natural sr20de with a turbo series 2 200sx 5 speed.
The diff ratio is 4.11.

Cheers, Danny

Hi Andrew, I would like to catch up with you and Stu again to find out some more about your cars.
Is that you or the previous owner on youtube at winton?
I have a short video of your car then my car, you really notice the difference between the two engines, the note from your VE engine sounds sweet.
I wish I could join you but my car is in pieces oil leaks and still having braking issues.
I have found some R31 rear calliper mounts which I re drilled then used R31 discs and PBR VS commadore rear callipers.
My diff is having some mods done as well new ratio and reposition brake lines etc.
I am also getting some longer lower control arms made up for more neg camber.
I really want to get down to low 1.40's before I start on any engine mods

Cheers, Danny

Hi Andrew, sorry i tried to load an AVi file but failed. If you pm me your email address i will send the video's to you.
I am only just starting to get some clean laps in after my second outing.
I feel unsure into the sweeper as it's a new car and it needs sorting in the rear end.
Are you having trouble in a certain area of the track?
If its a car issue i know a guy who is fantastic with datsuns and a top bloke as well.
I have thought about doing some driver training to sharpen up before i head to the island.
Cheers, Danny

the car feels pretty good, and has a fair bit of adjustment in the rear shocks and swaybar for when i get closer to the limit
i feel that i can get through most of the track fairly fast, but im not consistent and always end up making a mistake
somewhere in the lap. as i said, more practice needed. best is a 1:41.2 but i reckon im still 2 or 3 seconds off where i could be...

pm sent

Hi Guys, time to for an update on the car.

I was getting an oil leak from the Gearbox so its now baffled to stop sloshing from the extension housing.
Front suspension has been completely rebuilt with different legs new camber castor top plate and modified lower control arms.

I was also having some issues with flat spots so we decided to do some engine mods as well.
Cylinder head was removed and mildly ported with a multi angle valve job.
New cams to suit cylinder head.
Motec ECU and new loom fitted.

The car now has 112 rwkw and sounds pretty strong.
The bottom end is still standard.
The plan is to run this setup for a while and perhaps look into a sr20ve conversion into the future.

Next day out will be a Winton practice day late Feb or early March.

Pictures coming when I get the car back.

Hi Andrew, the car is still about a week away from being done.
After the front end work we had some clearance issues so the front guards are being flared and painted.

Looks like Friday 20th or early April.
Are those dates any good for you?

What have you been doing to the 1200?

Cheers, Danny
