Hi all,

Painted the bay, came up a treat :cheers Looks a bit greenish in the photo but its a pale blue

I then went on a rampage fitting stuff!

-Coilovers are in
-Datsport booster 7/8 master cylinder
-Datsport Clutch slave cylinder w braided line
-Datsport steering box brace
-later model steering box and collapsible comumn
-Disco GTX2860R with t3 .64 rear housing on ebay mani
-NEW headlights
-Blasted and restored headlight buckets (like new)
-Rear xmember/r200 ect in

I'm now confident enough to have a crack at painting the whole car, just need to focus on the body prep work.

What I'm working on now:
-rust in front guards, light flaring
-filler and sanding around all the rust repairs
-small repairs on doors
-aligning all the panels
-boot lid needs to be stripped, small repairs
-bonnet inside to be stripped

2017 will hopefully see the car complete

This is the turbo, yeah it's a t3 suited for a RB 'skyline upgrade'

http://www.sonicperformance.com.au/8360 ... B25/pd.php

There are so manyy different variations to these turbos, confused what I've got in the end
Not too fussed tho as it should do the job. Didn't have intention on upgrading but I wanted high mount purely because I like the way it looks in the bay. The manifold I got had a t3 flange so I naturally had to get a turbo to suit :)

Some good progress being made. Definitely satisfying bolting bits and pieces in!

Yeah I am up for this too I can how ever shape sheet metal to a fairly high standard so that part of my rebuild should be ok.I have friends who make medieval armour and I have helped them on a number of projects .The kerfing is easy and you done well I can do that without kerfing but it involves a few steel and hardwood forms to be made and a long time with a gas torch and carefull hammering.Almost hand forged parts.I too am a bit slow on the welding bit.I lost the skill factor but I once could do a real good job.I love your work though.Lookes like you will do a great job.You are saving another datto.Good on you mate.

Greetings all,

Been a bit slack updating this, but I can assure you the build is still going.
I don't have much time to go to the high level of detail like the start.

Fuel setup done

First test of setup fuel was pissing out of the joiner from surge tank to pump. Couldn't get a seal and snapped 3 speed flow fitting before getting a steel one that worked.

My dream wheels arrived from Japan, SSR Starsharks

Car is now in high fill, off to get the 3" exhaust fitted

Car is running!
I'm running an r35 GTR afm and nismo 740 injectors.
A few boost/oil/coolant leaks and rattles to sort out but other than that it's purring and reving beautifully!

Looks good Tim. And nice score on the Star Sharks too! An excellent wheel choice I think :)

It's a common thing for everyone's pages now. I thought Mr Camouflage had a work around for it. But i find it easier just to upload to ozdat as the host.

I really need to get off the internet and get in the garage, still not done anything to put mine back together, re reading this for motivation. Just need to get out and get on with it. Mine is rusty in all the same places as yours is so it's good to see how you've gone about the repairs.
Any updates?
