Just caught up on the updates, too.......love that TD05 manifold and conversion!

For the in-tank pump with the S13 pump module, have a few questions if you don't mind:
a) did you have to shorten the pump support to fit the 1600 tank?

b) it looks like you machined the tank adaptor too?

c) how did you go with the fuel level sender, what gauge are you using or did you keep the stock fuel sender unit?

Picked up and fitted a few more goodies tonight in preparation for summer. Lately ive become more aware of how noisy my fuel pump is, especially in the hot weather. On one occasion i was stopped at a set of lights and the guy next to me asked if everything was ok, granted it was a 35 degree day in traffic, but still it didnt seem right. Did a little bit of investigation and found something that surprised me, the surge tank in my system was getting quite warm. The small volume surge tank doesnt dissipate the heat as well as the main tank and it is this fuel which is feeding the main pump. With this in mind, i thought id trial something to see if it makes any difference. I picked up dual pass, inline transmission fluid cooler which i am using as a fuel cooler. Hot fuel from the rail passes through the cooler before returning to the surge tank. If i can keep the fuel cool, im hoping to reduce the heat being transferred to the main pump. Not sure if it will work as intended, but after researching i found it is quite common in diesel cars.
Also fitted up a knocklink detonation sensor, finishing off the LED install tomorrow.

How did you go with the fuel cooling did it quieten it down at all ?? as mine is also really loud when the weather warms up.
On a side note mine also when indicating to turn the whine pitch goes up and down with each flash of the indicators i should probably look into that..

Hey Tones, I'm interested in your new fuel pump setup. Have you had any issues with leaks, or fuel supply, since you did the conversion? Also, are you able to post some photos of how the pump sits with the tank in the car? I'm trying to gauge some ideas for my projects.
