I should have said one of these will be my next purchase. Not "is" my next purchase.

Nothing in the immediate future, but have been checking them out and pricing.

I want a c210 so bad. when i was young I went through about 4 that i registered and had on the road till i was sick of the rust and got another one with a blown head gasket or rolling shell, I never paid more then $300 for them, now I can't find one for less then $5000 unless someone has mutilated it with a rb25 and can't get engineered.

If anyone sees one please let me know, but I guess you all want one too.

Nice pic by the way.

Nikko

They shouldn't be hard to find. I was offered one a little while ago but couldn't find anyone at the time. Can't even remember the contact now :(

What's the reason for their popularity in the Middle East?

I've had two 240Ks, in the late 80s and 1990s. First was a 1977 5-speed sedan, second a July '76 auto coupe. Nobody wanted them back then but they're a great car. The coupe, when I bought it in late 1989, was one lady owner who only drove it to the shops on the weekend to do the grocery shopping. Had 16,000 kms on the clock, and an unused spare wheel (with the original mags, because she was allergic to air con so she bought mags instead). The plain black vinyl interior was immaculate. I think I paid $3000 for it when the going price for most of them was about $2500 (but again, nobody wanted them - I think she didn't get many calls for it). Put a 5-speed into when I had some money. Finally in about 1997 I was using it for work and not liking putting all the kms on it, so got a company car and it was sitting there not used much, there was some rust coming on around the windows and was stressing about what that would cost, made a hard-nosed decision and sold it to some Asian kid for about $2600. Really sad to see it go and would love to know what happened to it.

I didn't even know there was a GT-R version until about 2000 (thankyou internet). Had I known I think I would have kept it by hook or by crook.

Besides the GT-R style the favorite colour scheme I've seen is this one. I've also attached a nice shot of a GT-R near the water I found somewhere.

I wish i could tell you, there has been a lot of debate about these cars here, as middle-easteners are trying to get every last one, i have heard about one particular Datsun that was stolen after the owner did not sell it... Not trying to blame anyone or something like that but it seems that the purchasers of these cars are some shady ass people.
