That one is a fine example indeed.

They could do with some bits welded to the bottom of the tub sides so the bottom of the tub stays level with the bottom of the cab. Would look a bit better IMO.

I played with the corpse of one of these at my mate's place. I pulled the grille and headlights out to stick in my 1200 sedan...too bad the grille had a big 9inch grinder cut down the middle of it...

It was a 1970 1500 with the same thin arrow shaped fender indicators as some of the 1600 sedans had. Out of interest, what front end parts (bonnet guards indicators grilles bumpers etc) are interchangable with the 510's? (if any)

And now for something completely different...haha

I reckon they are awesome. Pity Australia didn't get them, I'd buy one for sure.

Yeah if the violets came with taillights like the 1600 and were about 4 inches longer between the rear window and numberplate I'm sure there wouldve been a lot more demand for them. Rear end looks horrid.

Again, AUS never got anything interesting.....damn americans!! 1200 2dr sedans is one i hate them for.....they got tons of them and barely anything else.

Its more likely to be a 140J.....they did make som 160J 4door's....but they were very rare.

We are doing a bare metal re-spray on my wife's 140J at the moment (in NZ)
they are very cool cars....lots of cool luxuries...and nice body lines

Bluebird P312?

And this is an Austin A50 built in Japan by Datsun in 1960.
[ img ]
My brother owns an English production A50, so I think it's kinda funny that Datsun made these too.
