Hi all!

Go easy on me first time getting myself out here on the forums! I have picked myself up an all in all pretty rust free little 1200 sedan! I have stripped the car and have fully refurbished steering and suspension components and getting my powerplant ready but now I am looking for some advice for paint and panel work.

The only significant rust in the car is where the firewall meets the wheel arch (where the factory sealant covers the intersection of the two; see picture). I have screwdrivered, blasted and rust converted the area however I would like to get it repaired with a cut and weld job. I am also chasing recommendations for a painter in the Wollongong/Southern Highlands/Sydney area.

I do not want a show perfect job, just something I can be proud of. Paint job will be engine bay and open door respray with interior masked off.

This is my first attempt at bringing one of these beauties back on the road so excuse any Datsun/general resto ignorance.

I appreciate any help in advance.

Cheers

AlisteR33
