Hi one and all-been a while, On my 1970 1600 resto--Question, can I buy the 2 eye brow shaped seals which live between the front guards and the body. The originals could be recommissioned ,however, the integral securing buttons are shot. Could make some thing up, thought some one may have been able to buy some replacements ? ? I cant find on line.
Cheers.

DatsunLand SoCal used to supply these.
However the guy that owned it died a couple of years ago and the shop shut up.
He made a couple of other rubbbers that no one else supplies aswell.
I haven’t seen them anywhere else

Maybe talk to baz at datsport.
I do recall years ago now, he was chatting to a guy on the 510realm who has a nos set of these and was willing to lend them to baz to try and get reporduced. Not sure if anything ever came of it though.
I’d be keen for a set

Thanks for your input. I think I will have make some seals to do the job and pop rivet them in place, getting seals made up seems to be a difficult task also I guess you have to get a lot produced to make it cost affective. We need a seal maker close to home, that's not going to happen.
Cheers.

All good but Baz at datsport does make Datsun 1600 seals in Australia that’s what I’m saying.
Just not sure if he started making those front gaurd seals.

Thanks, will give Baz a try, there are a few others I am chasing ie the small stepped seals that slip over the wiper shafts at the water drain grills area also some door bumpers , also I'm not to happy with the Window squeegy belt seals they seem to narrow and not touching the windows in places.Restoration has its problems eh.
Cheers

We have all the 510 seals upgraded, the new fender to body seals are spot on. Using our super rubber on them. we are exporting 85% of our rubber seals & increasing.
Only manufacturer exporting to Japan that we are aware of.
