Hey guys! My dad and I have been have been restoring an old 1974 120y 2 door sedan. As we near closer to applying top coat iv'e been searching for a good color to paint it. I've pretty much settled on going for a glossy crimson red for her and found a 260z with the exact paint job I want.

Also funnily enough I found a 120y excatly the same as mine with a similar paint job.

I was just wandering if anyone could let me know what the color of the 260z is or at least a similar color. Also would this sort of thing be available in a 2pac or would you need an acrylic type paint?

Thanks in advance

This is my car when we started. Will post current photos if anyone wants. :)

I would look for the colour i want on a modernish car, an oem colour and then find out the code and use that.
A quick google suggests to me that the ve ss came in a red like that.

The owner of the red 120Y above is on this forum, if you want it to be exactly like his (although it is a pretty bright red, not so much crimson) - http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=9796

Are you after a solid colour, or metallic ? I painted my brother's 260Z in Toyota Mica Red (metallic) and it was very close to the zed you've posted above.
