Hi,

I have some rust on the under side of the Bonnet on my 120y ( Attached Photo ), is there anything I can do to reduce it getting any worse ? can a panel shop fix something like this or am i better to find a replacement bonnet when it gets worse ?

Any thought would be much appreciated.

Just apply some deodorized fish oil to the affected areas.
You can either use a rattle can or brush it on.

Not much can be done apart from slow down the rusting process. Clean the affected areas and paint with a rust converter. Remove all the sealer between the frame and skin and clean also. Paint with whatever method in instructions for the rust coverter. The sealer is what has cuased the rust in those areas, it, I have been lead to believe had an acid in it. Removing the sealer will cause the bonnet to flex. This can be fixed using body sealer, NOT urethane. Urethane will pull on the skin, leaving what looks like dents.
