Sorry if this has been posted.
Been watching this thread very closely,
Thought I'd post it up for anyone that hasn't seen it.

Definitely keen on a new set of guards.

Cool. I was thinking the tail light panel from that thread may have something to do with musclecarparts panel listed on eBay.

I believe it was a deal done with a few companies together so are the same moulds just with different indicator holes etc from what I have seen is that futo and muscle car parts lists are the exact same but I could be wrong lol.

Cheers,

Richard

Anyway Its great news, even better that someone in sydney will be stocking them so I can check them out before purchase.

I see there making new oem style rubber fuel filler pipes on a 1600. They should be popular aswell.

Anyone got a link to the website containing the panels?
Good spot by the original poster.

Hi Nik

They don't have the panels yet. I am sure they will post them on their website when they come in.

This would be fantastic if it happens, the 1600 that we drive daily is rusted to hell and getting it repaired is just too expensive. Replacement panels would be a godsend

I googled musclecar parts last night and found there face book page and they must have some sample guards there as they have pics of them test fitting on a 1600.

On the same page is where I saw the pic of the rubber fuel filler hose aswell.

One thing I don't get is remaking the bonnet latch and catch as I thought these were still available from Nissan.

Sure they could sell if they were a lot cheaper but at the advertised price of us$250 I don't really see the sense in it.

Baz sells the bottom and top for $100 for both from memory.

Well $52 for the upper one and $48 for the lower it says on the website.

Actually the price of the boomer latch assembly has been removed from the thread, maybe $250 was a typo.

The ones we supply are not the same as the original.
We have been supplying this type for years.
They have additional springs & a more secure latch mechanism.
The original 1600 catches were notorious for releasing the bonnet.
Many a datto owner has had the bonnet fly open with expensive results.

Compare the catch in the pic to the one you have.
http://www.datsport.com/body-bonnet-catch-lower.html

Note that we are also supplying the new body panels, once we check them out.
We did have a couple of the rear lamp panels & decided not to handle them.
