When looking for a front strut brace to suit a 1600. Other than a 1600 specific item, what's the best option?
Is it S13 braces that people modify to suit, ie trim down and re-weld?
Really like the look of the Tein braces that I've sen on a few 1600s.

Yep a 180sx or Silvia brack will work with some mods. Can be had cheaply from EBay too :)

I really should look into making some. I've got a pretty trick one in my corolla my boss made, it shouldn't be too hard to replicate for a 1600. Is this something people might be interested in if I could do them at a reasonable price?

Just thinking that more options would mean I'll be able to find something cheaper.

Id be interested at a good price. Considered just making my own also. But the effort v's cost... I'm getting lazier! I want it to be used with an S13 and maintain use of the original bonnet stay also.
It is doable, but requires bending etc. Oh. And needs to be adjustable.
Maybe i should just make one?

I really like this idea of welding one in, or one of these Tein jobbies:

Hey Mydato, do you know how they need to be modified? I found a Tein 180sx bar for a good price and although I've seen this bar on a heap of 1600s, I'm wondering how much messing about it's going to be.

Cheers

S13 bars ar too long and need to be trimmed about 100mm. Come and have a look at the one I made Shaun. If I were you I'd wait until the engine is fitted and see what is going to work with your plenum. I can't use mine any more because it fouls on the intake.
