One of the problems is the spline count of the helical centre being 30 instead of 29 for typical applications. Something to be wary of.

Correcto make sure you get the output shafts with an s15 diff as they are also slightly different lengths left to right. Youll know youve got them backwards when one hangs out a little too far

The Mad Dat moustache bars are a great buy. I found out the hard way that you need to modify a moustache bar once I jacked everything up.

They come powder coated black, and have urethane bushes installed. well worth the coin for not chopping/welding yourself.

Just want to dig this up again because it seems like a really good spot for info.
I have acquired myself an R200, looking at LSD centres. Thinking of going the S15 centre as it'll be a cheap alternative for the power i'll be making.
So I know that there are heaps of ways to do this, but I thought i'd ask if this way seems right.
1. Get the S15 Diff, unbolt the centre and fit that to the long nose R200. Will probably have to use the bolt shims to go 12mm to 10mm bolt on the crownwheel.
2. Use the S15 6 bolt diff output shafts and snap them in.
3. Obtain 280zx companion flanges and replace the datsun 4 bolt flanges with these.
4. Decide what axles to use. Get a set of 280zx axles and S15 axles and either, shorten the S15 ones and spline them then take off the outer 280zx cv race and install onto the s15 axle to bolt to the companion flange or... see if i can take off the diff side cv input shaft off the 280zx axles and install the s15 inner race onto that shaft and bolt up. Probably with some shortening also.
Butch510 gave me the idea.

Or is there another way? other than spending thousands on custom axles?

Can anyone tell me whether the Cima diff can fit the older style r200 yoke for the tailshaft?

<update> For the record, yes the Cima diff is able to be modified and the existing cima flange removed and replaced with another older style R200 Long nose flange. Spacing for Length is the same. You just have to remove the ABS/Speed sensor and make sure you do up the bloody great big nut to the same torque or alignment as previous.
