Hi all,

I have noticed that everyone is saying in recent posts that heater taps are not available. There have been other suggestions that are not standard.
I think I have found a new source.
Here are photos of old and new.

You just need to move the lever mechanism from one side to the other side and change to the Datsun lever.

You just need to look on ebay for XR XW XY type Falcon heater tap
http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from ... p&_sacat=0

Hope this is useful for others

Nice one. I remember doing this many years ago for my car!
Supposedly Blue Bird taps work too, but I'm not 100% sure on the details...

I have used the BB heater tap. It is mounted in the engine bay rather than the cabin so I think that is a bonus in itself.

Just needed a simple bracket to mount it to the firewall.
The beauty of this tap is that it is all plastic, so it shouldn't have any issues with corrosion.
