Yea datski, it's still pretty quick. Don't know how well it'd go against these dato 510 turbos. It was quicker than my mates VYSS 7 years ago but I have'nt realy raced anything since installing it in the coupe and I've only just got it going after sitting in a garage for 3 years. It's got a great cam that comes in about 3 grand and it pulls nicely right through till about 6800rpm. I'll have it down at whoopass (motorplex ) soon and see what it does on the 1/4 mile. Changing it to turbo is a fairly big job, have to lower compression of the engine and find all the associated parts. Depending on what boost you run I reckon it would have a good chance against a L28 turbo. I did own a R31 turbo, RB20et (stock) and my L28 would definately beat that. Ricky

ooohhh Munkey that is vedy vedy nice. Do you have any idea what HP or KW your making. This is an avenue I'd like to venture down BUT it would depend on the HP gain.
Was there a lot of extra work involved in fitting and was there a lot of criterior to meet. I'm under the impression that those V8's are a lot lighter than the L series, if this is so should'nt be too much of an issue? If you've got time one day I'd like to know some of or most of the details involved. Who did the conversion for you?
More than interested Ricky.

That would be Martin the mobile mechanic, know him well as I've brought stuff of him in the past. He's into restoring Z cars.
