Hi Guys,

Ive had my 1600 front bumper fully straightened, and now need chroming.
Ive serached & tried the following so far:

Vinci Chroming = $480
Ultrachrome = $400 - 600
City Plating = Number doesnt work
Premier Plating = No answer

So far im apalled that its going to cost me so much to chrome 1 bumper!!
Does anyone have any suggestions of who might be able to do this work at a more reasonable price?
If not, does anyone have a good-ish condition 1600 front bumper they want to sell?

Cheers,
Hayden

Those prices look good to me!
If you want the real McCoy triple plate process, it WILL be expensive.
It is such a dirty process that the EPA has all but outlawed it.
My son had the front bumper for his 240Z done, years ago .... $800

Have you thought about painting them to suit the car colour?

Yeah im beginning to resign myself to the fact of paying 400 to have my bumper shiny :(
Spent so much on this car already spending more is something im struggling with more and more!

The car is black, so painting them black would be kind of pointless imo... But I did think of painting them silver, trouble is the rear bumper chrome is OK and think it would look weird if I had chromed rear and dull silver front. Oh well, thanks for your response!

you could try Osborne Plating... not sure if they chrome or not, but you COULD be original and go with a yellow-zinc or silver-zinc plating :)
