I've just had it confirmed that Lakeside is still planning to reopen on 1 March for the first Sprints day on the new track.

My entry is in & it's gotten a little more expensive at $149 for pre-paid (up from $99).

Looking at the photos on the QR site it's going to be a lot different coming down from Eastern Loop as it's a lot wider, which means even faster speeds down the front straight  Better up your brakes boys.

Yeh my entry is in too, intend to alternate between Lakeside and QR this year

Not sure about that faster entry onto the front straight though, once my CD ignition system is fitted and the missfire gone my car will be capable of arriving at the Karoussel in a big hurry so braking distance may become a problem :? Anyway, Lakeside will be a nice alternative to QR so it should be all/mostly good 8)

suspension setup and gear ratios are the biggest play at lakeside (of course brakes help) but because of the camber (or off camber) on the corners its easy to get all outa shape in a hurry just by weight shift, still takes alot of balls to take the last corner before the straight at full brakes with the new surface and (now) lack of experience at the circut

I missed the opening road sprint day, but I'll be there this Saturday for some Top Gear action. Who else is coming?

Not for the Top Gear events, either of the early April Sunday or Wednesday gigs. Too much choice :)

I finally made it through a whole day without blowing the motor, makes a nice change. My times were about a second slower than I thought they'd be with the fresh motor, more boost may be needed & new tyres.

It was good to meet Harry in the Souprah.

31 May is the next Open Sprints. Bring the Datto/Neesun love to Lakeside peoples.
