Always kinda wondered where everyone on here went, is that downunder datsuns on Facebook still a thing??
I’ve never had any social media
Cannot stand that page. Has a few to many hipsters for me. Facebook will never be a patch on what this forum used to be and the great technical data that is here.

I dunno, I don’t have any of the socials. But I do remember looking at that down under Datsuns thing on someone else’s Facebook a few years ago.
Yeah it was a bit weird, someone would ask a question regarding something about there car or whatever. And a million people would give the same answer. And seemed to be lots more key board warriors.
Maybe it’s not always like that??

Facebook doesn't display all the replies in a chronological list like this Forum does.
It is very easy to think you are the first to reply to something but surprise surprise, you are the umpteenth :? :? :?

I drop in occasionally to refresh my memory on upgrades. Sold a car or two over the years but bought an old one back so currently have 3 1600's. Ozdat is still one of the best Datsun resources on the net. Pitty alot of the younger people on Facebook don't even know about it.

I'm not that frequent on the forums.
The only time I really visit is when there is a spambot
Still have the 1600. Still modifying stuff big and small.
Most of this has slowed due to having started a family, but one day I will be heading out to the track again.
I still drive my Datto too!

Oh and most of my build is now on Instagram:

I pop in once in a while.
PA10: 10 years ago I managed to fit a L18e EFI system on to an L16 viewtopic.php?f=32&t=21772). I decided to restore the car but it has been one slow restoration. The body was painted a couple of days ago (COVID19 Lockdown). Now I am in the phase of cleaning, galvanizing and painting of rusty bits for fitting.
In the process I acquired a 510 deluxe. Hoping to start its restore immediately the PA10 is on the road.

Still have four 1600s. Two rally cars and two road cars (not registered). I compete in the Tasmanian Rally Championship. One rally car is a production rally car L20b efi under 2 litre and the other sr20 autech classic rally car.

Not sure if the below link will work. Might have to be a member. Shows the cars.

It’s been long enough that it just took me 20mins to remember my password, trying to remember my username before realising I was using my Datnet login. Lol
Still got the coupe, also got three kids under 7 (oh man)

I’ll get engineers sorted and be at the next Datsun/Nissan Nationals if it kills me .

I've been reading this forum and the 1200 forum for a long time. Finally bit the bullet and got a datsun but seems a lot of online discussion has slowed down. Especially over at the 1200 forum.

Just tried to have a look and it seems to have been taken down off the net.!

I’m still here, and am still in the slow process of restoring my ‘69 1600 sedan. Been a bit slower lately due to a giant tree falling on my workshop and still waiting on insurance to even begin repairs 6 months later, but it’ll get there, and then I can get back to finishing my 1600 :)

I still find this forum useful for searching stuff - it’s better for reference than Facebook, even though I don’t come on here as often.
