Hi all, its been a while, you know how it is with time management.
Dat 1600 resto, --FUEL LINE routing through the right hand guard area into engine bay--re the original oval shaped grommet is non existent, been in the process of making something up.
Does anyone know a good alternative to the original oval grommet through which the 2 rubber fuel lines passed. can't seem to buy one ??
Cheers, Howard.

Can you just squeeze a round one into shape there? I used an old soldering iron to poke nicely finished holes through some grommets with success in the fire wall

Thanks for your input "unfamilia". Yep did think about the larger round grommet but decided to go with a metal blanking plate with 2 grommets (to take the 2 fuel lines ) located in the plate then the plate fastened over the existing oval hole.
Sounds like a good idea regarding the soldering iron, will try out on 2 other grommets--- ie the bonnet release cable and choke cable.
Thanks for info, Cheers.

Your plate sounds like a good solution too. At least if using normal round grommets they are easily replaceable later on if needed
