I thought seeing as the Grand Prix is in town, that some of you fellow Ozdaters might like to get your cars out for a run??? Start at Beaconsfield pde Sth Melbourne near the beach Hotel. Cruise past the Casino to give some of those playboys in there penthouse suites some of their own medicine lol.

(Lol) Thanks for telling me its almost a bad time of year. F1's in town. But if your not doing anything wrong, well I think the cop will leave you alone. (Lol) What kind of stuff are you talking about, cause I was only going to do a few burnouts in the foyer that's all.

Thought it might be a good idea at this time of year. Maybe turn it into an annual CRUISE!

Guess not! Goodluck Daniel. Maybe I should of posted this under International events. Everyone's in town to see the fastest cars in the world, why not show them some virtually extinct ones like we so happen to own. Anyway, it was just an idea.

Intentions of a cruise are good but a lot if south melbourne is rwsticted acces as is albert park.
Cops all over the place down there itching to canary you even for not doing a thing wrong. Too many ferraris and exotics hooning around releasing their aural exhaust notes.
Best to go elsewhere to cruise.

Hey! why bother replying if your not interested. That's the second time you have been negative about my posting. When you get your mums panties off and grow a pair your welcome to reply. I was down there Friday night and did not see any cops. Piss off

that's not fair man
im keen to do something with the rest of the guys and girls but he has got a point.
as far as the cops are concerned we would be a whole heap of sh*t boxes that they could get there daily quota done in 5 minutes when they have been sent out to stop everyone that thinks they are f1 drivers

Ok so what your saying, the hills, is that everyone on here owns and drives sh*t boxes. And are going to try and emulate niki louda. What is not fair, is someone showing dsinterest, not once but twice, in what someone else has put out there as a suggestion. It would be a CRUISE! If your car is not up to scratch well leave it at home. Anyway well done to Daniel Ricciardo on a wonderful drive. Who knows maybe next year.

If you organize it kevin costner may come too :-D

Its all good dude but I used to work down there and cops are a pita down there thats why I was saying. Stock corollas etc get hassled when they are bored.

If only buxton burgers were still good and not when my kids bday is on.

Tee something up with a bit more notice jimi. Maybe dan still has ozdat pizza nights in st kilda going on. Im not sure.

All good unfamiliar. You just never know who may show up, if this ever happens in the future. As it is a week in Melbourne dedicated to what we are all on here for, cars. And I know it was short notice, but it was a spur of a moment idea. I felt shot down before it had any chance, and on two separate occasion's. P.S I don't want your mums panties back. And it was nice of Daniel to find your balls. (LOL)

Daniel might not be so happy now. But the pizza dinners do still happen on Thursday nights. Good luck with your quest for a cruise though, the last one I tried organising was an annual event that had heaps of notice and three cars showed up. I assume there are no Datsuns left or the owners don't like driving them.

actually I think you have a very negative view of the advice everyone is giving you.
im not saying that we all drive sh*t boxes or that any of us would go do stupid sh*t in the cars.
what im trying to say is that to cops that are itching to fill there quotas to justify there need to be strict on cars that are actually fine they will see a bunch of old cars and get a little woody going on
