OZDAT! pretty much in a long lasting debate with one of the panel beaters at work whats better rx7 or datsun but im running out of material to get at him with his rotary
some of the good ones ive used are " i heard they have spark plugs on special at jims mowing" and "i was thinking of coming on that rotary cruise with you, at least there will be heaps of girls ;)"

Give us some more material to get at him with

Cheers Jack.

Recently went on an ausrotary cruise. Heaps of RX2's, 3's and 7's there. The best bit was watching an RX2 drag off a HSV malloo, then wind down the window and yell "How much did you pay for that car, mate?" at them. Funny stuff indeed.

RX-7s are pretty bad cars, they handle so much better than a stock Datsun and are very advanced for their time. Other than the typical ignorant anti-rotary jokes I don't know any about RX-7s in particular. Definately a far better car (in standard form at least) than any Datsun, bar maybe a Zed.

your missing the point completely, i like rotaries, the arguement is a personal attack on the datsun hater not on the car itself :( its not a serious arguement we both agree there good cars at the end of the day

Tell him to put a cam in it or fit a high comp head. When he tells you this is not possible insist that he doesn't know what he is talking about. Trust me, this will drive him insane.

Offer to cook a few chooks in his car. Make sure he's runing a forged bottom end. Offer him a real engine like a SR20DET or 2JZ

Tell him his RX7 goes OK for a 3.6 / 3.9 litre (depending on if it is a 12A or 13B). That messes with most rotary lovers' heads until one day it will dawn on them that they have been lied to by the marketing spin doctors all these years. If they're smart enough, that is. Most will just think you're pulling their leg and refuse to believe the inconvenient truth.

Tell him a milk carton has more litres than his RX7. (It could backfire though because most Datsuns are also 2 Litres and below :x) But if he doesn't catch on it'll be a laugh.

Wankel's are for wankers

Heres a joke for you.

Q/ What's the difference between a Datsun and a RX-Whatever?

A/ Not much really. They both have a crap resale for the amount of money that you tip into them and both cultures think they are elite and better than Toyota lovers.

tell him a 13b is a 6 cylinder, 3.9 L, 3000rpm, redline, 2 stroke

and therefore bang per cube the rotary is an inefficient motor and you get more stock hp and better economy from a commo v6

this thread (althogh went for ever) has any arguement for or against

pop a chair, crack a beer and get some ammo from the posts
