Saw a couple of these types of vids on youtube a few weeks back.
Apparently the stig was a former GP driver from UK.
Forgotten his name already tho...

Probably why each show cost over 1 million to produce hence it axing.

I reckon it could be true. Would be a awesome job regardless of how much you got paid. You get to drive all the latest cars and learn their strengths and weaknesses. Next time he's in a touring car race he will know more about the cars he's competing against and which car he might like to race.

That was the old Stig. It was Ben Collins a former Race driver and stunt driver.

quite sure its a stunt

fezza FXX, massively exclusive car that people cant even fully own despite paying for one... on the track for a test?

shuey was there as test driver no doubt, and for an interview while he was there, plus at the end of the episode there was a bit of a laugh with him in the reasonably priced car

i wouldnt be suprised if next week they reveal him to be boris johnson or something :D

I read about this in the train newspaper. I'm undecided as to whether I believe it. It also pointed out that it aired in over 100 countries so I guess it's possible that they have a budget that high.

I believe there have been a couple of stigs, which is understandable really. I think they just get whoever they can to do the job.
